Two Happy Birthdays This Week — 11 Comments

  1. Lots of Fall birthdays to celebrate! Mine was on October 28th. I love reading about your activities- especially the writing group. Blessings to you too, my dear friend!

  2. Hi Karen, I’m so glad to find you again, well and still writing and living well. FB seems a poor way to keep in touch sometimes. Your November post inspires me to have a better attitude regarding our prairie winters. I thank God for you, Karen, and the impact you’ve made on my writing and life. May you continue to find joy around all life’s corners, even when doing so means sifting among the piles of (too often unwelcome) change. Blessings, dear lady!

    • Kathleen, how wonderful to reconnect with you. I am now living at Provision Living in Cincinnati two miles from my daughter Julie. iI hope all is well with you. I am retired now and loving this new chapter of my life.

      • Your patient and cheerful attitude toward those big changes inspires me, Karen. I retired from my government work a year ago. My husband and I have also moved. We’re in a far more accessible home, close to our daughter and family. He has had numerous major health crises since you and I last connected, and I’m blessed that I’m able to be his full-time caregiver. God is still better to us than we deserve, Karen! I look forward to more of life’s adventures and opportunity–just within a more confined space! Hugs and blessings…with gratitude for your example in writing and life.

  3. I love that you participate in a writing clinic! That sounds like fun. And you’re coloring too?! You are inspiring me! I’m glad to have found your blog thanks to Julie. I love you guys so much!
