  1. Oh yes I don’t believe anyone could put the way we feel better!!! God is taking us step by step, and will continue til we see His face coming out of the clouds of glory! We love your blogs! Cathy, and Walter Hopper❤️❤️

  2. Thank you Karen for your heart felt message. You always write about things that hit straight to the core of so many feelings that we have as we are growing older. You always inspire me and I am so thankful that you are in my life.

  3. As the saying goes, Gettin’ old ain’t for wimps.

The Constitution says the president must be at least 45 years old because those who wrote it knew “wisdom cometh with age.” Somehow I don’t have as much of that as I’d like yet.

  4. You are beautiful, Karen, but I relate to your thoughts about aging, new wrinkles, and the changes in my body. Even the wonderful question someone asked of whether I was my niece’s mother. Delighted as I was with the thought, I thought “do I look old enough to be her mom?” And I guess I do! Keep up your wonderful encouragement to us!

  5. I love your smile, your white hair and Love YOU too!
This is my second try to send my comment – just don’t know why my computer refused to send it. Maybe this time!
Your blog really hits home today as I really AM old, however, I can still mile and for some reason this makes US look younger and at least alive! So, my Friend, lets just keep on smiling. Blessings, Margaret

  6. Your blog hit a nerve with me today. I’m facing 60 soon which is causing me some discomfort. One of the things that has been bothering me is my weight. I have had a medical problem with my heel in the last 6 months which has prevented me from exercising as regularly as I used to and my stressful family situation has caused me to gain 40-50 llbs. I am feeling very self-conscious of my weight gain and I have noticed that I feel less sociable. I know that God sees our hearts but I feel the tightness of my clothes. Having a good self-image body wise is a struggle in our society.
Anyways, just some thoughts on the topic. I think you look great Karen- I don’t see your wrinkles I see your lovely smile!

    • Thank you, Angela, for your encouraging words to me. I also hear your concerns about yourself. We all have our challenges, for sure. I pray God will guide you as you find ways to recover your perfect weight and are able to exercise again, as you wish.

  7. Oh Mom, I love how you look (every season of your life) and hope I continue to have your good fortune with health and sound mind. Thank you for always telling your truth and finding the good anyway. Love you!

  8. I was tempted to copy your first paragraph and share it on my Facebook page. I didn’t, but it is so true. We can’t stop the years from passing but we can be thankful for good health. I praise the Lord every day for mine. You are beautiful inside and out in my opinion . Love your blogs.

  9. Hi Karen, oh my you look lovely.
Yes the years of ageing are creeping up. But some don’t get that opportunity. God has blessed me in so many ways inspite of the wrinkles.

    • Thank you, Joan. I see that you are focusing on gratitude. I love that. Yes, we are so blessed to have lived this long and to continue to enjoy our families and friends. God is GOOD.

  10. Dear Ms. Karen,
I see how you wear the beauty of aging extremely well inside and out and I am inspired to live a beautiful life.
    Thank you.
    🌻Smiles, BRC
