  2. Thank you, Jan. It’s wonderful to hear from you. I’m glad you enjoyed my story. I hope you have a blessed Christmas.

  3. A perfect Christmas story for any year. Especially this year when so many people are so anxious about the future. “God will take care of us, you’ll see” is so encouraging! Thank you for this lovely reminder.

  4. Thank you Karen for sharing your beautiful story.
We all need reminders of God’s faithfulness.
Your words also reminded me of how many go through this season struggling with heavy burdens and how often we who are Christians don’t see or help where we can , we can get so busy we think they may get help from others we fail to notice they all to often have none.
I hope this season we notice the look of despair in the eyes of our elderly , parents who are struggling and those who have no hope but for us.
Praying you have a very Blessed and beautiful Christmas!

  5. Thank you, Karen, for this beautiful story from Charles! It reminds me of a hymn we used to sing a LOT at church:”Be not dismayed what-e’er be tide, God will take care of you, beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you.” (last verse)”No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you, lean, weary one, upon His breast, God will take care of you.” ( it has two more verses and a Refrain
    Words by Civilla D. Martin, 1904 Music:W.Stillman Martin, 1905.
May you and your family have a very happy and peaceful Christmas. Love, Margaret

(you may receive another message that is not complete as I was almost finished with it when it disappeared)

  6. What a lovely story, Karen. Charles was truly blessed with a godly mother who trusted in God and taught her children by example. Charles has come to mind several times recently and I love reading this story about his childhood. Blessings, and Merry Christmas to you!

  7. Thank you, Carol. Actually the story is about Charles’s father as a boy. It has lived on in the family throughout the decades.

  8. What a wonderful story! Thank you for sharing. God has shown up for us in those ways this year. He sees and knows our every need! A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!
